Visit Southern Ontario during the steam-to-diesel transition era. The air is full of the chuff-chuff sounds of a Canadian Pacific Mikado, while in the distance, one can make out a Canadian National wayfreight RS3 dropping off a load of pigs at the abattoir.
The railway runs from Scarborough Yard and Ardley through Scarborough Junction (with a model of the real station) northeast to the division point at Brockton and Brockton Yard, then through half a dozen more towns to the city of Hennweigh, with some trains continuing east towards Montreal. There are about 1700 square feet of track, cities, towns, industrial areas, rolling hills, bridges and trestles, and several tunnels. Most trains are run by Canadian National and Canadian Pacific, but Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo and New York Central have running rights. The era is the 1950s, with both steam and diesel.
